Home for Home for Waifs and Strays
We’re thrilled to announce that Home for Waifs and Strays have found a temporary home for the next couple of months, and what a busy couple of months it will be! Home for Waifs and Strays will be getting cosy at Minerva Works and setting up home in Unit 9 from the start of July ’til the end of August.
4th July – Digbeth First Friday
We will be joining the rest of Digbeth in presenting our own special event for July’s Digbeth First Friday.
With a line up consisting of Aleksander Wojtulewicz, Chris Oakes, Jon Kadens, Ed Wakefield, Daniel Salisbury and The Hungry Ghosts (Joe Joseph & King Billy Ollis).
7th July – Coffee, Cake, Debate – Repetition, Repetition, Repetition
Prepare to enter a world where rhetoric, doppelgangers, infinity, music, language and emphasis come together in a dazzling and head-scratching array as Ed Wakefield will discussing repetition for our 10th Coffee, Cake, Debate.
21st July – HFWAS 1st Birthday!
All are welcome to join us in celebrating and party with Home for Waifs and Strays for our very 1st Birthday at Unit 9!
26th July – ‘Everybody’s doing a brand new dance now’ at Warwick Bar Fate
Drop your inhibitions and prepare to jig, caper, hop and frolic the day away as Home for Waifs and Strays will be a part of this years Warwick Bar Fete.
1st August – Digbeth First Friday*
12st August – Reboot – Birmingham*
Adam Young brings Leeds artists to in Birmingham for the first part of our two part Reboot show.
14th August – Reboot – Leeds*
HFWAS will then be taking all our hard work and experience at Unit 9, taking artists representing Birmingham to Leeds for the second part of Reboot.

Busy times ahead indeed, but boy, are we excited!
We also welcome any one and every one to come and join us in the studio space to explore, rehearse, experiment, and show work until the cows come home, without restraint for 45 days! This is a great opportunity to use a great space in collaboration with the rest of HFWAS and like-minded artists!
